POSITION SUMMARY Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a straight line truck to transport and deliver household goods moves. May be required to unload truck. May require use of automated routing equipment. Requires Class A commercial drivers' license.

Collaborate with other drivers or movers as part of a driving team on some trips
Provide directions to laborers who are packing goods and moving them onto trailers.
Inventory and inspect goods to be moved, in order to determine quantities and conditions. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. Place empty carts and pallets in trailers so they will be available to facilitate placement and movement of goods. Crank trailer landing gear up and down to safely secure vehicles. Remove any debris from trailers after loading is completed. Check vehicles before and after driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Follow appropriate safety procedures when transporting dangerous goods. Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Obtain receipts or signatures when loads are delivered. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid, or performing minor repairs. Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, and/or covers.
QUALIFICATIONS High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and/or one to two years related

Ability to adapt to change in the workplace. Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures. Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others.

Class A commercial driver's license. Will be required to be Allied certified upon hire. Must pass D.O.T. physical.
POSITION SUMMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS QUALIFICATIONS PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manually move household and office furniture, freight, or other materials or perform other general labor as directed by supervisor.
Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 75 lbs. on a continuous basis. Constant walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects such as furniture and boxes.
Work environment is indoors and outdoors, at customer locations such as businesses and private homes. Some warehouse work may be required. Climate is dependent upon weather conditions, (heat, cold, humidity).
